The Vidyalaya is affiliated to CBSE and follows the 10+2 pattern of education.
Apart from the teaching learning process, the students are provided ample
opportunities to take part in Co-curricular Activities, Sports & Games, Club
Activities, Work Experience, Scouts & Guides, Computer Education, Vocational
Training, Adventure Programmes and Value Education aiming at the all-round
development of the students.
Kendriya Vidyalaya, Gulbarga was started in the year 1986. The Vidyalaya has Classes from I to XII
with an enrolment of 786.
The Vidyalaya has
maintained high academic standards with 95.4% results in the 2007 CBSE Class X
Examination.
The Vidyalaya provides opportunities to its students to participate in a
variety of activities. The Vidyalaya participates in Games, Sports and other
activities organized locally and also at Inter Kendriya Vidyalaya level by the
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. The activities include Mathematics Olympiad, Green
Olympiad, National Level Essay and Painting Competitions, Youth Parliament,
Adventure Activities, Educational Tours, Exhibitions, Scouting etc.
The Vidyalaya has
a well stocked library of over 4500 books to inculcate regular reading
habits. We subscribe many magazines and periodicals of educational and literary
nature.
